The apostles got it wrong?!

‘Cause they marginalise and they relativise

Fooling with God’s own word

And the trivialise and they secularise

For miracles never occurred

And they liberalise and the destabilise

A teaching that can’t be right

And the allegorise and they rationalise

And darken a shining light

Now I’m not saying

There’s no place for historical criticism

Identifying genre and pericopes

But if constant revisionism

Calls the resurrection into question

Then we’re a people without hope
