A newborn child, within a manger, lays

Bethlehem, King David’s town

A humble place of no renown

Where the great Messiah will be found

Worship and adore

Tell the world a child has come

Emmanuel will save

The power of God’s redeeming love

To die and rise again

 

Wise men travel, gifts they bring

Shepherds hear the angels sing

‘Glory Hallelujah!’ to the King

God’s great gift to humankind

A child is born to reconcile

The Word of God is humbled for a time

Worship and adore

For now and evermore

 

Born to save us all

From Adam’s tragic fall

This child one day will die

In place of humankind
